I'm really sad to have missed Dick's memorial service at Piedmont Community Church. I heard about his passing too late.
I'm priveliged to have known Dick. He was such a steady, gentle, courageous giant. He had a true passion for justice and respect for the law. The huge turn-out at his service was a testimony to his integrity and service to the institutions he loved.
I wish I had the opportunity to sit through one of his trials.
